Michael O'Neal, the Maine representative for Guard-A-Kid, has been in Law Enforcement for over ten years. He has served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer and is currently a part time Patrol Deputy Sheriff. In addition, Michael is also an instructor of Kid Escape, from John Hall, which teaches children the Grip, Dip, and Spin technique that could save their lives. He also teaches the "Safe Side Video" program from John Walsh (from America's Most Wanted) and Julie Clark (the creator of Baby Einstein) to parents and teachers. Michael got involved with Guard-A-Kid when his young daughter came home with an inadequate I.D. that simply displayed a picture on a high-gloss piece of paper that the parents had to fill out the back of. After talking with parents, less than 5% actually filled out the back. He became even more determined to protect our children when he found all of his friend's daughter's personal information on myspace.com. That's when Michael founded Guard-A-Kid of Maine.
